We should all take a page from Duncan McDonell, in ways to communication with different generations. At 15 years old, he decided to take his passion and love of art, and use it to change the lives of senior citizens. Not just any senior citizen, however. He works with the Institute on Aging and now the program, which he runs with Jessica McCracken, has expanded with more volunteers and exposure to the community. On top of using art, Duncan and Jessica do exercises with seniors who suffer from diseases such as dementia.
Below, is the link to Duncan’s heartwarming story. A special Thank You, goes to Generations United for sharing this story and highlighting Duncan’s efforts.
Take the time to read it and let it inspire you, as it inspired us, to Mentor Up!
