First, I wanna say Happy National Volunteer Month to all of you
I can’t begin to stress how important being a volunteer is, but in order to be one..and a good one at that, we have to know what it means to volunteer.
I started by searching google and dictionaries online…and they all went along the lines of this:
“A volunteer is a person who voluntarily offers himself or herself for a service or undertaking; also a person performs a service willingly without pay” (dictionary.com)
For me, to be a volunteer is so much more than that… You have to give your time and effort, tirelessly…and the real reward is the feeling of doing something for someone else…it’s indescribable. I think volunteering makes you a well-rounded person… I mean, we work on a day to day for money…it’s our responsibility to live, right? Well, I volunteer to make someone else happy… It’s our responsibility to give back… To help each other move forward.
There aren’t many willing volunteers in the world… Why not be one of them?
Take this challenge to volunteer this month…at least… You can sign up with local shelters, schools and many other places… Just put a smile on someone else’s face.
Karma is very real… You Get What You Give… What You Know Is What They Need… Sound familiar? 😉
I’ll leave you with this:
